John Ly
Partner
John Ly has had substantial experience litigating business disputes involving a wide range of clients, including William Morris Endeavor Entertainment and the County of Los Angeles. He has helped to obtain multi-million dollar verdicts and has successfully defended companies and individuals in complex contract disputes. For example, John secured the dismissals of the Los Angeles County Supervisors and obtained summary judgment for Los Angeles County in a high-profile First Amendment retaliation lawsuit. John also has handled various employment matters, including defending clients against harassment and discrimination claims. John has been consistently recognized by his peers as a Southern California Super Lawyers “Rising Star.”
John is devoted to serving his community. He sits on the Boards of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA) and Bet Tzedek Legal Services. He also serves as a Los Angeles City Commissioner for the Department of Transportation and as an Executive Advisor for Asian Americans Advancing Justice.
